Under
Basic Skill Self Enhancement program; Centre for Social Action along with
Partner organization Salvation Community Centre has organized the 3rd
session on Stress management on 7th July 2017.
A total 21 domestic
workers (women) actively attended the session. Dr. Evelet Sequeira was the resource
person; who conducted the session and shared 3 techniques of stress management
– Learn to be stress free i.e. Breathing technique, Sound technique and Dance
technique.
The
Resource person also shared the story of an elephant who is tied to a chain.
The Elephant still believes that the rope can still hold him, so he will never
try to break free.” The visit to the zoo was amazed to note that these animals
could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they
couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were. Like the elephants, many of us
go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply
because we failed at it once before? Failure is part of learning; we should
never give up the struggle in life.
